Marty vs. Restaurant365: When Does a Managed Service Add Value?

Restaurant365 is a powerful restaurant operating platform. Marty is a managed profit-control layer: it turns information from the systems you use into prioritized actions, ownership, follow-up and verification. A fair comparison starts with Restaurant365’s existing capabilities, then asks who makes sure unresolved issues get acted on and checked.

Marty focuses on U.S. restaurant groups with 5–50 locations and $10M–$100M in revenue, led by an owner, COO, CFO, controller or operating partner who needs less manual chasing across locations.

What Restaurant365 documents

Restaurant365's accounting page describes daily sales entries, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, location P&Ls and multi-entity reporting. Those financial-record functions belong in the comparison, not just labor dashboards. Restaurant365 accounting.

Restaurant365’s workforce materials describe scheduling, time tracking, payroll connections and labor visibility. They also describe overtime alerts and flags when labor trends over budget during a shift. Restaurant365 workforce management.

Its Operations Dashboard documentation describes real-time sales and labor measures when the relevant feature is activated. Availability and configuration matter, so ask for a demonstration using the systems in your group. Restaurant365 Operations Dashboard.

These capabilities should be included in the evaluation rather than marked “No” in a generic feature table.

Start the profit-control routine with a baseline

The Review starts with records from your locations and works toward quantified, source-backed cash or profit findings. You receive findings ranked by dollars and location, evidence behind each issue, an owner and recommended action, and a 30-day plan walked through with leadership.

It does not replace accounting, payroll or the operating processes that maintain your source records. The Review establishes the baseline for the managed routine, including what to watch first and who owns the response.

Separate the system from the managed responsibility

Work Restaurant365 scope documented above Marty scope
Financial records Accounting, AP, reconciliation and location/group reports Does not replace the ledger, payroll or accounting close
Operating visibility Workforce tools and configured sales/labor dashboard Baseline Review prioritizes source-backed cash and profit issues
Action ownership Your team assigns operating responsibility using its chosen workflows Review provides owners and recommended actions
Continuing work Establish which modules, settings and internal routines cover the issue Optional monitoring, alerts, follow-up, escalation and verification around agreed controls
Implementation Confirm modules, source mappings, training and accountable administrators Confirm read-only records, locations, history and actual refresh cadence
Cost No current numeric R365 quote verified here Flat Review fee confirmed first; optional continuation separately scoped

If a location report does not reconcile, correct definitions and mappings first. If a useful module is unused, configuration or training may solve the gap. If supported issues keep repeating without an owner who investigates and checks results, assess a managed service around the existing records. No native R365-to-Marty connector is established by this guide.

For an unresolved POS-to-bank difference, the cash-reconciliation workflow helps define the evidence needed; preserve your existing ledger process.

Keep accounting continuity

If you use Restaurant365 for financial records, plan to preserve that process. Confirm which records can support the Marty Review and the permitted read-only access. Do not assume a particular native connector or a full migration is required.

Evaluate costs against the actual proposal. A platform subscription, its implementation and a scoped Review are different purchases. Optional Marty support can be discussed after the Review if it solves a remaining need.

Put the findings to work

Preserve accounting continuity while deciding who owns unresolved operating issues. Marty is a managed profit-control layer using Find → Assign → Follow up → Verify. Its paid Cash Recovery Plan establishes the baseline; optional Managed Profit Control monitors agreed controls, alerts managers, follows up, escalates missed actions and verifies results.
